Competition Terms and Conditions - Meet Gorden Tallis

1. PROMOTER

The Promoter is Jobs In Central Queensland (ABN 23 603 386 705) of 1 Manning Street, South Gladstone, QLD 4680 ("the Promoter").

2. WHO MAY ENTER

The only persons who may enter and be awarded prizes are those customers of jobsincentralqueensland.net.au / jobsincq.net.au, who are a registered candidate with an uploaded Resume, who are Australian residents, who are not employees of the Promoter or its related businesses or business partners, or the immediate family of such employees.  "Immediate family" means spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household as the employee.

3. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any Terms and Conditions appearing on the website specific to this competition.  The competition commences at 9.00am on 18 July 2022 and closes at 12.00am on 23 September 2022.

4. LIMITATIONS ON ENTRY

Participants may only enter the competition once by registering on the website and uploading their Resume.   Only the first received entry will be valid if more than one entry is received from a participant.

5. HOW TO ENTER AND SELECTION OF WINNERS

Entrants must supply details such as, name, phone number, postal address, and  email address.  Entries cannot be returned.  The prize will be awarded in accordance with the rules of chance and under the supervision of an independent observer.

Winners will be chosen at random from all valid entries from participants on 26 September 2022 .  Winners will be notified on 26 September 2022 and details published on jobsincentralqueensland.net.au / jobsincq.net.au.  All decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. PRIZES

Four winners will be chosen.  The winning entrant prize is two tickets (winner and guest) to attend an evening function event, with special guest Gorden Tallis, valued at $500.  All prizes must be taken as offered and are not exchangeable, transferable, redeemable for cash or for resale.   Invitations will be emailed to the email address of the registered winner/s. In the event that a prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for any lost or misdirected email. Prizes unclaimed after a period of one week from the date of notification of the winner may be forfeited and used by the Promoter at the discretion of the Promoter.

7. NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

Winners will be notified by email and telephone.

8. ENTRIES

All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entries not completed in accordance with the conditions of entry or received after the closing date will not be considered.  Indecipherable or incomplete entries will be disregarded.  No responsibility is taken for late or misdirected email.

9. PRIVACY

Jobs In Central Queensland is collecting your personal information for the purposes of assisting you to find suitable employment and may disclose information to third parties for the purposes of running the competition.  If the information requested is not provided, entry into the competition may not be permitted and your entry may be discarded.  It is a condition of entry into the competition that you consent to the publication of your first name and first initial of your surname in any advertisements or articles relating to the competition for any other marketing purpose.  By entering this promotion, participants consent to the use of their names and likenesses in this manner.  Jobs In Central Queensland treats and stores personal information in accordance with all applicable laws in Australia and with its Privacy Policy which can be found at https://jobsincentralqueensland.net.au/privacy/.  You may be contacted by Jobs In Central Queensland, in relation to this competition.

10. INTERNET

If for any reason this competition does not run for its duration due to a computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. The Promoter is not responsible for any:

(a) malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any telephone network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website;

(b) failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter; nor

(c) any injury or damage to entrants or any other person related to or resulting from participation in the competition or down loading any materials in a competition.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered to person or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter or its employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply, or the supply, of goods and services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the prize winner.  This clause does not affect any rights a consumer may have which are unable to be excluded under Australian law.  To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its employees or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the costs of having the prize supplied again.
