2026 Apprenticeship & Traineeship Program

Gladstone Regional Council is proud to help facilitate the upskilling of our region in a diverse range of roles and across a variety of Council locations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an organisation that is committed to delivering outstanding service to our community. 

There are a variety of opportunities available which will provide on-the-job training and support to develop employability skills, knowledge and experience.  

Our training opportunities consist of a mix of hands on practical work, learning from experienced leaders, and classroom education in the vocational area to develop theoretical knowledge.  

Positions available in 2026 intake include:

  • Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic x 2

  • Apprentice Plumber x 2

  • Parks and Gardens Apprentice x 2

  • Aquatic Operations Trainee

  • Business Administration Trainee x 4

  • First Nations Fire Trainee

  • Process Operator Trainee

  • Production Technician Trainee

  • Pest Management Trainee

  • Waste Management Trainee

  • Workplace Health & Safety Trainee
