An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Accounts Administrator to join our Finance and Administration team based in Rockhampton.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations and administrative functions of Regional Health & Mobility. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the business.

The successful candidate will possess strong organisational and time-management skills, along with a sound understanding of bookkeeping practices, inventory management, and fundamental accounting principles. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day finance activities, and ensuring administrative processes run smoothly.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts administration, bookkeeping, or finance support role

  • Sound knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger functions

  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, Reckon, Cin7 Core (DEAR Systems), or similar financial and inventory management systems

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices, inventory management, and basic accounting principles

  • Excellent organisational, time-management, and communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical problem-solving ability

  • A proactive, positive, and customer-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred)

  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable

  • Experience in healthcare, disability, allied health, retail, or other inventory-based businesses

  • Experience working across multiple business systems and electronic banking platforms

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner

  • Preparing and reconciling bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger transactions

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting processes

  • Managing inventory records, stock adjustments, stock reconciliations, and inventory reporting

  • Processing customer statements, supplier payments, and account queries

  • Monitoring outstanding accounts and following up on customer and supplier enquiries

  • Maintaining and improving finance and administrative systems, procedures, and documentation

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, financial controls, and relevant legislation

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer service
