Administration and Business Officer

Janes & Stewart Structures (JS²) is a well-respected provider of structural & civil engineering consulting services to the Central Queensland region.

We are seeking an Administration & Business Officer to assist the directors with the business operations of the company and to provide administrative support to the professional & technical staff. The candidate will form an integral part of a small & friendly team & will work closely with the directors, professional & technical staff to facilitate the smooth operation of the business.

Business Support Activites will Include:

  • Payroll

  • Invoicing

  • Accounts receivable/payable

  • Maintaining accounting records with accounting software (Xero)

  • Maintaining project records with project management software (Abtrac)

  • Forecasting & budgets

  • Liaise with external bookkeeper & accountant (BAS, FBT, PAYG)

  • HR record keeping

  • Maintaining professional registrations & insurances

  • Ongoing development & maintenance of company processes & systems (business processes, marketing, prequalification registrations)

Administration Support Activities will Include:

  • Office reception (in person, phone, email)

  • General office duties

  • Proposals, letter & report preparation (MS Suite)

  • Facilitating office, asset & vehicle supplies & maintenance

  • Scanning & filing

  • Travel arrangements
