Administration Officer

The Company:

Connell Enterprises is a local family run construction business established in Gladstone in 1991. An opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer to join our team. In this position you would work alongside our current Administration and Management team, responsible for providing support services to facilitate the effective function of our operations.

The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate excellent time management skills, work independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate must have the ability to prioritise urgent tasks in an always changing work environment with urgency and efficiency. Your outstanding communication skills will provide support to our clients and team.

About the Role:

This is a diverse role, with a variety of responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include;

  • Reception

  • Scheduling

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Purchasing

  • Tender submission

  • Quote preparation

  • Safety management

  • Coordinate office systems and processes and contribute to improvement of work practices

  • Systems include Xero, Service M8, Site Docs

The candidate

  • Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills

  • Minimum of 3+ years of administrative experience is required

  • Confident communicator with a willingness to listen and learn

  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with Accounts Payable and purchasing systems

  • Experience in the Construction/ Trade industry highly regarded

  • Small business experience highly regarded

  • Exposure to Workplace Health and Safety procedures and documentation advantageous.

  • Australian permanent residency is required for this position
