Beef Australia is seeking an energetic and highly organised Administration Officer to play a key role in the planning and delivery of Beef 2027—Australia's premier beef industry event and one of the most recognised beef expositions in the world.
This is much more than a traditional administration role. You'll be the central point of connection for our team, members, exhibitors, partners and stakeholders while helping deliver an event that attracts industry leaders, producers and visitors from across Australia and around the globe.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and Deputy CEO, you'll provide high-level administrative support across the organisation while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Beef Australia office.
As the first point of contact for the organisation, you'll help create positive experiences for stakeholders while supporting business operations, event delivery and member engagement activities.
This role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and enjoys being involved in all aspects of a dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Office Coordination

Provide executive and administrative support to the CEO, Deputy CEO and team.

Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes and catering arrangements.

Manage shared inboxes and stakeholder enquiries.

Prepare professional correspondence, reports and documents.

Maintain office supplies, facilities and administrative systems.
-
Develop and improve office procedures and processes.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
-
Contribute to the delivery of exceptional customer service to members, exhibitors, partners and attendees.

Respond to enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Finance & Business Support
-
Assist with account administration and payment tracking.

Support invoice processing and reconciliations.
-
Assist with corporate expense and credit card administration.
Event & Operational Support

Support ticketing, exhibitor and membership administration.

Assist with event software and database management.
-
Provide operational support across Beef Australia projects and events.

Contribute to event planning, coordination and delivery activities.
Partnerships & Member Engagement

Support the delivery of member and Beef 27 Club initiatives.

Assist with partnership and revenue-generating activities.

Help coordinate stakeholder engagement events and functions.
About You
You are professional, approachable and highly motivated, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent service and outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

3–5 years' experience in administration, customer service or a similar role.

Outstanding organisational and time-management skills.

Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new software systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach.

The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable:

Experience with bookkeeping or finance administration.

Experience supporting events, projects or member-based organisations.
