Administrative Assistant (Accounting Firm)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Administrative assistant to join our successful accounting firm. This accounting firm located in Mackay offers a challenging yet rewarding position where you will be responsible for helping manage the day to day workflow and operations of our accounting team.

Responsibilities included:

  • Supporting our existing team as necessary with all administration and coordination
  • General client services support
  • Diary management
  • Liaising with Accountants, the ATO and ASIC
  • Processing invoices as required
  • Manage Electronic lodgement with the ATO and other government organisations
  • Debtor Management
  • Company registrations ABN, GST, PAYG etc
  • Practice Manager Support
  • Ad-hoc administrative duties as required


  • At least 2 years administrative experience ideally within an accounting firm
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organistation skills
  • Excellent written and interpersonal & client communication
  • The ability to follow procedures and processes with careful & conscientious attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
