About your role
Reporting directly to the Superintendent - Environment, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:
- Support and optimise site environmental monitoring programs.
- Development and implementation of improvements to the Environmental Management System.
- Investigate environmental incidents, implement corrective actions and review effectiveness of actions.
- Assist with the development and delivery of internal environmental communications.
- Identify and coordinate environmental improvement projects and improvement investigations as determined by the Environmental Superintendent.
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures.
What you will bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Science or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years of experience within heavy industry is desirable.
- Proven experience in environmental management with a solid understanding of Environmental legislation and ISO 14001:2015.
- Able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficient with ArcGIS software, exposure to EQuIS and WaTERS favourable.
- Current manual driver’s license.
