Pirtek Gladstone requires a motivated, enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work to join their team as an apprentice. Ultimately working towards completing a MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering.

The Role

Kick start your career with an exciting opportunity to complete an Apprenticeship with Pirtek Gladstone. Successful applicants will complete a Certificate III in Engineering, through a combination of on the job training and training modules at CQ university Gladstone. Not only will you be completing a nationally recognised qualification but you will also receive full product and service training to begin your career as a Pirtek Service Technician.

In addition to undertaking the practical components of the Certificate III in Engineering, the roles general duties will include but is not limited to:

• Onsite hydraulic repairs
• Repair and assembly of both hydraulic components and mobile plant
• Manual lathe and milling operations 
• Provide assistance to tradespersons
• Ensure tasks are performed as per work instructions
• Proactively work within team environment
• Complete all paperwork, requirements, timesheets, job cards
• Assembly of hose and fitting components 

About you

To be considered for this position you will ideally be/have:

• A keen interest in the mechanical engineering discipline
• The motivation to grow and establish yourself as a tradesperson
• Sound language, literacy and numeracy skills
• The ability to stay on task and follow instructions precisely
• Have a mature and positive attitude 
• Be honest, reliable and trustworthy
• Strong focus on workplace health and safety

Requirements

Requirements to be considered for this position include:

• Manual drivers license 

• Forklift license or willing to obtain prior to start date (Minimum 18 years of age)
