Join Liebherr Australia as an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Fitter so you can earn while you learn!

You will undertake a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology gaining hands-on experience and mentoring from our highly skilled professionals. This 4-year apprenticeship will equip you with the skills needed to become a qualified Heavy Equipment Fitter.

Our Apprenticeship Program offers comprehensive training and on-going support, empowering you to reveal and discover your full potential.

Start Date: January 2025 

What you will learn as an Apprentice with Liebherr: 

  • Inspect plant and equipment for conformity with established standards
  • Request required spare parts
  • Operate workshop equipment including mobile lifting equipment
  • Diagnose faults, repair, maintain and overhaul mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Diagnose and rectify minor electrical faults
  • Repair damaged or faulty parts by machining & welding or fabricating new parts
  • Lubricate plant and equipment
  • Running adjustments to mechanical equipment
  • Other duties as directed

About you

  •  Passion for learning new things, enthusiasm, sense of pride, high attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, problem solver and a high commitment to safety
  • Driver’s License and access to transport to and from the facility 
  • Completed year 11 before January 2025
  • Full working rights in Australia 
  • Certificate II or pre-apprenticeship course in a relevant field (highly desirable)
