What You'll Do:

As a key player in our Asset Management and Strategy Division, you’ll be responsible for driving the reliability and availability of our enterprise Rollingstock and Port Services fleets. Your technical expertise will shape the future of Asset Health and Hydrocarbons within our business, ensuring our assets are always ready to deliver.

  • Champion a ZEROHarm safety culture across all aspects of the operation.
  • Provide Asset Health and Hydrocarbon direction to set long-term reliability targets and programs for key rail and bulk commodity transport assets.
  • Develop assessment of asset performance standards and identify where changes should be made to meet asset performance targets standards.
  • Hydrocarbon Management Process Ownership: Set the business hydrocarbon standards and processes. Work with business SMEs to identify effective solutions, develop business cases, and embed as BAU processes.
  • Work with other Engineering, Reliability and Maintenance Planning teams in developing and deploying changes to maintenance processes, procedures, and work packages for key assets.
  • Lead efforts to optimize inspection intervals and work package content, reducing maintenance time and increasing asset availability.
  • Identify initiatives, projects, and programs to improve asset health assessment and HCM capability to improve asset performance and increase life of asset and/or components.
  • Develop and manage programs to drive supplier technical performance in line with contracts.
  • Monitor the condition of the existing assets, components, facilities and practices against expected performance and report on findings, deriving actions to improve the performance.

About You:

  • Technical Background: You have a trade or engineering background with strong knowledge and experience in asset health/condition monitoring and hydrocarbon practice. High level of conceptual and analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to coach, guide, and influence others effectively.
  • Communication: High level of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate issues and findings to stakeholders (make the case for change).
  • Project Management: High-level project management skills with strong ability to identify initiatives, projects or programs to increase asset capability, performance and standards proven technical competence.
  • Stakeholder Management: High level of skills communicating complex issues effectively and succinctly with internal customers.
