The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Asset Engineer your next career move as an Asset Technical Officer will see you assist the Asset Service team in providing administrative, operational, and technical support on infrastructure assets and assist in the delivery of North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation’s (NQBP) infrastructure works.

This position requires a driven and inquisitive professional, eager to learn and keen to elevate your career as a technical professional. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development, maintenance and management of asset management systems, including plant and fleet assets
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure asset registers
  • Manage external consultants and contractors to optimise the delivery of scheduled outcomes
  • Conduct condition inspections and rating of various company assets.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Required to undertake a Police clearance and hold a current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the ability to obtain a MSIC within three months of commencing employment
  • Relevant experience in asset management or surveying
  • Understanding of common engineering standards and practices relevant to subdivision and construction
  • Technical analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to deal with public enquiries
  • Strong computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office.
