Assistant Depot Manager - Mackay

As Assistant Depot Manager for our Mackay Depot, you will provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers sort their recyclable products and providing them with the correct refund.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support the Depot Manager in leading a small team to deliver outstanding customer service
• Manual handling & sorting of recyclable items into their correct categories
• Ensure customers are welcomed and assisted with their recycling products to inspire return customers
• Ensure staff are adhering to all health and safety procedures and highlighting any hazards/faults/risks
• Cash handling, ensuring the cash float is balanced daily
• Continuously looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and increasing customer satisfaction
• Ensure that staff have the skills and training to work safely and efficiently

About you:

• Previous experience leading a small or medium sized team
• MUST be physically fit for the role. This role requires manual handling and being able to comfortable handling repetitive tasks
• Previous Customer Service, Warehouse, Hospitality, or Retail experience would be highly desirable
• Excel & Outlook experience 
• Excellent communication skills
• A current driver’s license
• You have a great 'can do' attitude with customer service at the forefront of all interactions
