Job Description

Carinity Education – Gladstone have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Attendance and Inclusion Support Worker to join the team. Reporting to the Deputy Principal, the Attendance and Inclusion Support Worker (AISW) promotes, supports, organises and supervises the Youth Worker team in the area of attendance and inclusion of diverse student needs. In this role, you will oversee the formal process that guides and documents student attendance and liaises with stakeholders to improve student outcomes. As well as be responsible for the formal process that guides and documents the verification process for students with disability, including working with teachers and Youth Workers to meet guidelines and deadlines for the NCCD process. 

What do I need for the role?

  • Qualifications in Youth Work, Teacher Aide or Teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience with student attendance through a structured Support Process.
  • Demonstrated experience with the NCCD process of students with disability.
  • Demonstrated ability in student behaviour management.
  • Experience in providing support and building positive, professional relationships with marginalized young people, particularly those who have been victims of abuse, neglect, substance abuse and/or self-harm.
