We are currently seeking experienced Auto Electricians to join our team at South Walker Creek Mine. If you’re an experienced Auto Electrician with an excellent work ethic, attitude and safety conscious approach, then we want to talk to you.  

Located 35 kilometres west of Nebo, 1.5 hours from Mackay in the Bowen Basin, this is our closest mine to Mackay!

Buses provided from Mackay 

Long term contract with extension until 2031

Key Role Tasks 

  • Experience working on the following equipment:
  • Excavators Hitachi 3600,5500, 5600
  • Graders 16, 24M
  • Dozers D10, D11
  • Haul Trucks Cat 789, Komatsu 830E, Cat 793
  • Working as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment
  • Routine servicing and maintenance of all equipment both site workshop and field based
  • Fault finding and trouble shooting
  • Complete all maintenance administration requirements in a timely and legible manner
  • Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings
  • Participate in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Work Method Statement Reviews

Role Requirements

  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technolog
  • Current VR/CPR (within the last 12 months)
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current Standard 11
  • Current Coal Board Medical (or ability to pass)
  • Experience working on electric drive haul trucks 
  • Solid troubleshooting & diagnostic skill
  • Demonstrated safe, professional and productive behaviour
