About the Role:

 

Reporting to: Subsidiary General Manager (Solid Line) / Chief Operations Officer (Dotted Line)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Location: Manukua, Auckland New Zealand

 

As Branch Manager/General Manager, your primary mission is to oversee subcontracted operations in Phase 1 and then manage all site activities, recruit and lead a team to ensure excellent customer service. You will also be responsible for managing and directing the CCIS ANL New Zealand depot to deliver efficient, safe, and cost-effective services while ensuring a positive return on investment.

 

The role and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ensure the Depot delivers a consistent high-quality service to all its customers.
  • Manage the business and operations of the Depot at the lowest cost structure necessary to meet the service objectives.
  • Leading by example, strictly enforce the companies OH&S Policies and Procedure.
  • Constantly have all Depot Work Instructions under review to ensure they reflect best, safest practice.
  • Ensure compliance with all company Employment policies and procedures.
  • Build a team-based work environment.
  • Manage the workforce of the Depot identifying improvements in performance where necessary and taking decisive action to correct shortfalls in performance.
  • Responsible for the financial management and profitability of the CCIS ANL.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

  • Completion of year 12 or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years direct experience as Manager of a Depot or Container Park.
  • Experience as manager of a logistics site, a minimum 10-year experience in logistics/maritime industry with a minimum 5-year management position.
  • Knowledge of standard IT applications in the industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics flows of the local market. Knowledge in trucking activities will be a plus.
  • Experience in subcontracting and outsourcing transport services.
  • Effective management of Profit and Loss Statements is essential.
