Business Development Manager - Fleet Rental Industry (Mining and Civil)
  • National Fleet Provider within Mining and Civil Infrastructure Space
  • Mackay-Based Role - Metro Focus with Occasional Regional Travel
  • Up to 100k base + 140k OTE + Fully Maintained Vehicle + Super + Other tools of the trade.
THE COMPANY

The business has been established for over 50+ years and has built a great team and presence within the mining and civil infrastructure space. They are a family-owned business in Australia who are now part of a global organization. Focused on growing the Australian market. They are seen as leaders in mining and civil spec vehicle rental/leasing. Their customers range from major blue-chip organizations to SMEs.  Due to high demand and strong prospects, they now have an opening for a Business Development Manager role to grow the North QLD market.
  
THE ROLE
  • Based in Mackay, you will be responsible for clients in Mackay and its surrounding suburbs.
  • Our client specializes in renting/leasing out mining and civil spec vehicles (dual cab, single cab 4WD, and a range of buses) to major civil contractors and mining companies.
  • With this role, your focus will be on the civil infrastructure space as there is significant growth in new projects in North QLD.
  • This is NOT an order-taking role or a simple account management job. This role will require you to work strategically with the customer base and influence them towards your solution.
  • You will be working closely with the Regional Sales Manager who will provide you full product and market training.
THE CANDIDATE
  • THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: A hunter mentality. If you have a genuine desire to win new business then this role is for you.
  • You can come with a sales background in hire, rental, construction, or industrial—this will be advantageous.
  • Positive attitude, sales process, professionalism, an engaging personality and someone who is driven to take their career to the next level.
  • The focus will be on your soft skills - sales methodology, communication, willingness to learn, team player mentality, commercial acumen and relationship-building skills.
For the right candidate, our client can offer up to 100k Base + Commission + Fully Maintained Vehicle + Laptop + Mobile + Super.
