JMS now has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Business Development Officer based out of our Rockhampton Office to join our team to support the ongoing growth and expansion of business. specifically in the labour hire & mining market.

About the Role:

In this role you will be responsible for building long term professional relationships with clients to deliver, design and coordinate leads, fostering growth and solidifying key relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and establish a portfolio of new clients and further development of relationships with existing clients;
  • Identify new business leads;
  • Engage face to face with clients and managers to build relationships and understand their business needs and operational requirements;
  • Engagement with business development team and support business growth;
  • Understand market and labour pool trends and take advantage of opportunities for growth and expansion;
  • Maintain an understanding of market changes, trend and competitive activity; 
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship and deliver an outstanding customer experience

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Current Coal Board Medical 
  • Current Standard 11
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the coal mining industry 
  • General Understanding of CHPP operations and requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role - Sales and Business Development
  • Proven experience in acquiring and maintaining clients
  • Solid relationship development skills 
  • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate at all levels
  • A passion for people and sales driven
  • A competitive spirit and strong work ethic 
  • A demonstrated track record in sales or customer service
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed daily, weekly and monthly KPI's 
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to travel throughout Queensland
  • Minimum 5years experience in a similar role (highly advantageous)
