Business Improvement Specialist

Council is on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Business Improvement Specialist to join our team full time and make a meaningful impact.

About the Role

As our Business Improvement Specialist, you’ll take the lead on designing, developing, and implementing operational improvements that add real value — for our customers, our people, and the broader organisation.

In this role, you will:

  • Champion a positive safety culture, ensuring health and wellbeing are always a priority

  • Be present, proactive, and solutions-focused, knowing that the community sits at the heart of everything we do

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or significant direct experience in a business improvement role.

  • Proven experience in using analytical skills to interpret information, audit and assess processes that improve satisfaction and reduce cost to serve.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage effective working relationships at all levels both internally and externally.

  • Proven track record in successfully gaining support for change to process or business rules across a complex multi-disciplinary function/ organisation to improve customer experience results.

  • Proven track record in successfully collaborating to execute delivery of improvements and innovations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the talent to present facts and opinions articulately, persuasively and objectively to a wide variety of audiences, including at senior management level.

  • Fluent in technology software and applications and the ability to effectively leverage technology to re-design processes.

  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
