About the role

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Superintendent, this is a permanent full-time role based at our Stanwell Power Station in Rockhampton.

The Business Support Officer will provide day to day administration and business systems support to the Engineering and Operations Teams at Stanwell Power Station. This is primarily facilitated by the optimisation and implementation of the various administrative procedures, business systems, reporting, and work practices that support the key business outcomes required for the team, the site, and the business.

This position will support the Superintendents; working closely where applicable with the work groups to understand the process, decisions and information that is required to be entered into the key business systems to allow for good business decisions and risk management. 

Key activities include:

  • Provide Contractor Management support to Superintendents utilising a wide range of business systems and liaising with external parties as required.
  • Establish and maintain all day to day administrative activities for the teams to ensure key operational, project and reporting deadlines are met.
  • Identify areas of improvement of the administrative functions across site and to contribute to the continued knowledge sharing across site.
  • Provide Super User support to team members in the use of all business systems and business applications through coaching and guidance.
  • Prepare reports to a high standard suitable for a broad range of audiences.

About you

  • Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent is essential
  • Experience in coordinating an office to ensure the needs of the team are met
  • Experience in the use and operation of financial processes and systems
  • Experience in business systems such as Ellipse, Mondelio, Content Manager is desirable
  • Ability to regularly review existing team processes and if required, adapt the process to meet the changing needs of the team
