Electorate Officer (Casual) - Colin Boyce MP
The office of Colin Boyce MP is seeking applications for a casual Electorate Officer, based in the Flynn Electorate Office in Gladstone, Queensland.
This role offers ad hoc hours and is well suited to someone who enjoys a varied workload and engaging with people.
Position Overview
Colin Boyce MP is seeking a reliable and adaptable individual to join the Flynn team in a casual capacity, based in our Gladstone office.
The key duties of the position include but are not limited to:

Front-of-house reception duties

Answering and directing phone calls
-
Assisting with constituent enquiries
-
Community outreach
-
General administrative support
The ideal applicant will possess the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

Ability to engage and communicate with a broad range of people, with a friendly and professional manner.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Good IT skills including word processing, spreadsheets and database management.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks in a fast-paced working environment.

Proactive and willing to contribute across different areas.

Employment conditions:
The position is offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2024-27. Other relevant information:

Office opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am – 4 pm.

Hours will vary from 0 to 24 hours per week, with flexibility required.

Casual position with $47 per hour.

An employer superannuation contribution of 15.4% will be payable.
