Position Overview:
As a Freight Handler, you'll be an essential part of our operations, helping to ensure freight is handled efficiently and safely. This role involves loading and unloading goods, sorting shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload freight from delivery vehicles.
- Sort and organize freight according to delivery routes and priorities.
- Ensure all goods are handled properly to prevent damage during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing freight.
- Operate around forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in freight handling or warehousing is preferred but not required.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy packages (up to 25 kgs).
- Forklift certification is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Available for afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday, with a 2:00 PM start.
