Centre Cook/Chef

Kidzplay and Learn West Mackay is looking for a Cook/chef, who has passion for providing Nutritious meals for Children in their early years.

You will be required to plan and prepare delicious, wholesome meals for our Centre - catering for Babies, through to Kindergarten.

You have the freedom to create inspired menus, whilst ensuring special dietary needs and allergies are catered for.

You will need to demonstrate excellent record keeping and organisation skills and have a clear understanding of the health and safety regulations.

The successful cook/chef will be responsible for maintaining a budget and ordering from local stocklists and suppliers, they will be required to hold/apply for a Blue Card and hold appropriate qualifications.

Essential Criteria:
-Hold relevant Food Safety Certificate
-Understand menu planning to meet children's dietary requirements
-Hold current first aid certificate
-Hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card/Working with Children's Check
-Experience in cooking meals in early childhood settings or similar environment
-Creative and passionate about food and providing high-quality meals.
-Positive, friendly nature.
