Change Management Business Partner

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Change Management Business Partner to contribute to Council’s success.

About the Role

As the Change Management Business Partner, you will partner closely with leaders and project teams across the organisation to enable successful delivery of strategic and operational change.

You will be a trusted collaborator, and coach — embedding change management principles into projects, strengthening organisational capability, and championing a positive, people-centred culture.

This role is equal parts strategic thinker, culture influencer and high-impact communicator, and will see you actively shaping how change is experienced across Council. 

Your role will include:

In this influential role, you will:

  • Lead and implement change management approaches to support organisational and project-based change

  • Act as a culture influencer, reinforcing Council’s values and fostering engagement, resilience and collaboration

  • Be a change champion, helping leaders and teams understand, adopt and sustain change

  • Craft clear, compelling and audience-focused change and project communications

  • Partner with leaders to anticipate change impacts and proactively manage risks and resistance

  • Design and facilitate engaging workshops, forums and change activities

  • Build internal capability in change and project delivery through coaching, tools and frameworks

  • Role-model cross-functional collaboration and solutions-focused thinking

You will bring:

  1. Bachelor of Business (or related discipline) and/or significant demonstrated experience in a similar environment.

  2. Demonstrated experience in a project delivery environment.

  3. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and think strategically with a methodical approach to problem solving.

  4. Demonstrated experience in successfully engaging and influencing stakeholder groups at all levels of the organisation, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

  5. Demonstrated experience in developing content and facilitating workshops. 

  6. Ability to plan and prioritise in an environment with conflicting demands.

  7. Advanced communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including experience in reporting.

  8. Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.

  9. Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
