Job Description

The FKG Group’s Accommodation Services division, Anaman, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced professional Chef to join our team and camp north of Rockhampton. 

 

Providing accommodation services to workers and contractors engaged for nearby construction works, our 250 bed camp operates a full commercial kitchen with our kitchen team responsible for preparing breakfast, crib/ lunch and dinner for all guests.

 

To be successful, you will be a self-motivated team player with a passion for providing exceptional food and service in an open kitchen environment.  

 

Key capabilities and requirements include: 

  • Chef Trade Qualification
  • Food Safety Supervisor Qualification (SITSS00069)
  • At least 2 years relevant post trade experience as a Chef
  • Current working knowledge of current Australian Food Safe Standards
  • High standards in food storage and preparation methods
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Availability to work a roster in a remote camp environment.

 

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate previous experience working in a large scale restaurant environment, or previous camp experience. 

 

You will ideally be local to the area and work a 15 days on, 6 days off roster, however drive in (DIDO) and fly in (FIFO) arrangements will certainly be considered for experienced and qualified candidates.
