Job Description

We are looking for experienced Chefs & Cooks to join our client in Mackay, QLD. 

In this hands on roles, the chosen candidates must:
  • Ensure food preparation and quality is of the highest standard possible.
  • Manage stock levels and follow company procedures and recipe guide lines.
  • Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen during and after service.
  • Assist the head chef in cost control and assist in ensuring budgeted profit and targets are met.
  • Able to work unsupervised and harmoniously with the rest of the staff.
To be successful for this role you will possess the following:
  • Minimum of 1 years post qualification fulltime experience in prep and a la carte essential (Lunch & Dinner)
  • Appropriate industry recognized trade qualifications.
  • Experience in fast paced, service and quality focused venues.
  • Guest orientated and passionate about food.
  • Sound knowledge of food hygiene practices.
  • The ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Happy to work split shifts if required.
  • Possess a positive attitude and work well as a part of the team.
The positions are full time, $70-$80K a year salary depending on the position and experience.
