An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced CHPP Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic and successful team. As a key member of the team and reporting directly to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, this multifaceted role will see you develop and implement plans for maintenance activities across the CHPP assets, to ensure effective utilisation of resources and to optimise plant availability and performance.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with supervisors and other stakeholders to maintain work management compliance and ensure adherence to the GCAA Asset Management Framework.
  • Identifying safety and business risk in relation to work management.
  • Developing and maintaining both short and long-term maintenance plans for new and existing assets, to meet agreed weekly and monthly targets in alignment with business goals.
  • Administering the computer-based site maintenance system (SAP) to enable safe and reliable coal production.
  • Ensure appropriate resources, tools and materials are identified and available for planned and scheduled work scopes.
  • Development of isolation permits, shutdown sequence and commissioning plans.

  • Hold a Trade or Tertiary qualification (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Have experience in Maintenance Planning processes.
  • Have a capable knowledge of SAP PM software including but not limited to, master data management, functional locations (FLOC), bill of materials (BOM), maintenance plans and use of FMECA tools, maintenance tactics development and data cleansing activities.
  • Possess a sound understanding of financial processes in relation to Maintenance activities such as labour and materials costing.
  • Possess a proven ability in interpreting engineering drawings, OEM manuals and standards.

We are only a one and quarter hour drive from the beautiful Mackay hinterland and a two- and half-hour drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands and have a diverse group of people at our operation commuting from multiple locations in Queensland such as Rockhampton and Townsville, to name a few.
