Club Operations Manager
About the role
The Boyne Island Tannum Sands Golf Club Inc (BITSGC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Club Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Club and play a key role in its ongoing development and success.
This is a full-time leadership position suited to someone who not only understands club and hospitality operations, but who is also motivated to improve systems, lift standards, and help move the Club forward. Working closely with the Executive Committee, the Club Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the Club operates efficiently, professionally, and in a way that delivers an exceptional experience for members and guests.
Key responsibilities
As Club Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the Club, including bar, clubhouse and functions

Leading, supervising and scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient operations

Providing a high standard of customer service, including handling member and guest enquiries, bookings and complaints in a professional manner

Maintaining the clubhouse and associated facilities to a consistently high standard of presentation, cleanliness and safety

Working closely with the BITS GC Executive Committee to implement policies, procedures and operational improvements

Contributing to the development of systems, processes and initiatives that improve efficiency, service delivery and the overall performance of the Club

Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, licensing requirements and industry best practice

Providing strong leadership to staff, fostering a positive, accountable and customer-focused culture
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Demonstrated experience in sporting club, hospitality or hotel operations in a management or senior supervisory role

Strong people-management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop staff

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a genuine desire to improve how the Club operates

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a volunteer Executive Committee

Sound knowledge of hospitality, liquor licensing and gaming compliance requirements (or the ability to quickly obtain this knowledge)

Proficiency in using relevant systems and technology to manage bookings, staffing and operations

All relevant certificates and accreditations, or a willingness to obtain them

An interest in golf and a commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for members and visitors
