About the Opportunity

We are seeking a CNC Machinist to join our busy workshop, utilising your CNC programming and machining expertise to set, run and operate CNC machines across a diverse range of work.

This role offers genuine variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to work on high-quality hydraulic components.

You will be comfortable working independently, achieving tight tolerances, and contributing to a safety-focused, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, operate and monitor CNC machines
  • Create, edit and optimise CNC programs
  • Operate Hartford Pro-1000AP CNC Mill and Doosan Puma 2600 CNC Lathe
  • Achieve and maintain tight machining tolerances
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Measure, inspect and verify components to quality standards
  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety initiatives
  • Complete clear and accurate reports and documentation

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant Trade qualification (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience as a competent CNC Machinist
  • Confidence operating CNC mills and lathes, including Hartford and Doosan equipment
  • Previous experience machining hydraulic components (desirable)
  • Strong ability to measure, inspect and work from samples (highly regarded)
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
  • Good communication skills and the ability to complete accurate documentation
