Commissioning Electricians - Wind Farm

PR projects are fully integrated talent acquisition specialists, providing a crucial bridge between the rapidly growing renewables industry and skilled and passionate candidates.

Our client are looking for a number of Commissioning Electricians for a Wind Farm Project in Queensland.

This role is FIFO based across Australia and the roster will be 2:1 which is flexible and duration of the role will be for 6 months with strong possibility of extension.

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for providing standard electrical tests for electrical infrastructure
  • Commissioning main transformer, substation, protection systems, power measurements equipment, MV switchgear and cables 
  • Ensure all systems are operational and meet required specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the commissioning process.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to optimize system performance.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols throughout all commissioning activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in commissioning and troubleshooting in the wind farm space
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to wind turbines
  • GWO (Global Wind Organisation Training)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
