About the Role
Experienced Component Rebuild Fitters will receive a consistent Monday–Thursday roster, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work in a well-equipped facility while returning home at the end of each day. These roles require a strong commitment to safety and a high level of attention to detail.  
  • Employment Type: Casual (3-6 months) with potential for ongoing work for the right candidate
  • Roster: Monday – Thursday (4-day week, 3-day weekend every week)
  • Competitive Rates
  • Hours: 12 hours per day
  • Location: Paget, Mackay (local role – no camp or meals provided)
Key Responsibilities
  • Attention to detail with ability to measure, record and update teardown documentation
  • Assemble, fit, and install various components and equipment 
  • Rebuilding and repairing OEM powertrain components & transmissions.
  • Overhaul or assembly/disassembly experience
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standard
  • Specialising in CAT 777, 789, 793, 797 trucks & D10, D11 dozers components.
  • Ensuring quality control and compiling reports.
  • Managing jobs and supporting a small team to meet daily targets.
  • Performing maintenance repairs within company guidelines and cost targets.
Requirements
  • Trade Qualification - Cert III Engineering (Automotive Mechanics, Mechanical Fitters, Fitter & Turners, Mechanical trades & Diesel Fitters)
  • Demonstrated post trade mechanical fitting experience.
  • Computer literate: SIS experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong commitment to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
