As a Construction Superintendent - Access & Clearing, you'll support overall project delivery by managing and coordinating the clearing and access works for the projects. Providing expert construction advice, successful planning and execution of the works to enable.
You'll develop a comprehensive strategy including identifying key delivery risks and implementing mitigation strategies during both the planning and execution phases of the project, as part of the overall project management plan.
Key responsibilities include coordinating and managing site activities and ensuring alignment with the approved Project Management Plan and Powerlink's standards. This involves proactive facilitating inspection activities with stakeholders and ensuring efficient, safe delivery of site deliverables, while resolving any issues that arise to maintain project progress.
The role also encompasses managing site delivery completion, addressing issues, defects, and non-conformances, and overseeing material and equipment deliveries according to the project schedule. It involves reviewing contractor and service provider work, including their release documentation, and managing interactions between internal and external stakeholders to achieve project deliverables.

Based in Gladstone, reporting to the Senior Project Management Lead you will join a dynamic team united by a passion for delivering cutting-edge infrastructure projects that will shape the future of Queensland's energy network, by providing expert construction advice, and effective stakeholder management.
Your expertise
Essential
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Project Management discipline or a lesser qualification if coupled with significant experience in managing and executing the construction of Transmission Lines infrastructure delivery projects.
- Current Qld "C class" Drivers Licence.
- Queensland General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) Blue Card.
We'd also love you to have:
- Significant experience in managing and co-ordinating end-to-end clearing and access for the execution of high voltage transmission line infrastructure projects (both Greenfield and Brownfield environments), reporting progress, risk mitigation and management to agreed budget and timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience in providing expert Construction Advice to other Site Delivery Manager Team members and the coaching and mentoring of personnel in the delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to understand and apply the applicable environmental and land access legislative requirements and ensure compliance with these.
