You’ll be joining a collaborative environment that values transparent communication, practical problem‑solving, and consistent execution against HSE and environmental standards. The work program includes a steady pipeline of civil, earthworks and structural scopes, offering exposure to complex, operationally constrained projects and clear opportunities for professional growth.

About the Role:

This site‑based position provides construction supervision, coordination and compliance oversight across two operating facilities (QAL and BSL), ensuring project works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with sustaining capital priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising civil, earthworks and construction activities onsite while supporting forward planning, contractor management, documentation review and the consistent application of governance and safety standards. This is a fast‑paced role requiring strong communication, disciplined organisation and the ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously. The position also provides leadership exposure within a Tier 1 mining environment and the opportunity to work on complex, technically challenging projects with long‑term development potential.

Key Responsibilities:

•        Support Sustaining Capital Projects leadership in promoting a high‑performance culture across both sites.

•        Build and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships across operations and support teams.

•        Act as a secondary point of contact for contractors and delivery partners.

•        Work closely with the Project Lead to clarify scope, sequencing and execution expectations.

•        Lead safety performance and actively promote safe behaviours aligned with HSE policies and standards.

•        Ensure environmental compliance and verify contractor adherence to environmental obligations.

•        Model behaviours consistent with RTA culture and contribute to a positive, solutions‑focused work environment.

•        Maintain constructive relationships with team members, contractors and operations stakeholders.

•        Prioritise work effectively to meet project milestone and execution requirements.

•        Attend contractor pre‑start meetings daily and toolbox meetings at least twice weekly.

Essential Skills, Tickets, and Experience:

•        Demonstrated experience in direct contractor supervision.

•        Background in large civil infrastructure or mining construction projects.

•        Strong understanding of earthmoving plant and concrete works.

•        Broad civil construction capability across concrete, pipework, structural works and related disciplines.

•        Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and guide work teams.

•        Proven commitment to safety and HSE leadership.

•        High‑level analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

•        Strong attention to detail, particularly in reading and interpreting plans and construction design.
