Contract Compliance Specialist (Inspector)

Job Description

Mackay Regional Council is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Contract Compliance Specialist to join the dynamic Portfolio Management Office program on a permanent full-time basis.

About this opportunity:

The successful candidate will use their technical expertise to provide input into constructability reviews and assist Contracts Project Managers with information and guidance regarding enquires of a construction nature and in the verification of Contractor claims.

As the Contract Compliance Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring external contractor's working on behalf of Mackay Regional Council comply fully with construction compliance obligations and requirements including but not limited to, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Qualification (Cert III trade qualification up to and including Degree) in a related field such as construction, plumbing, drainage, building and water.
  • General Construction Induction Training.
  • QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
  • Experience in broad contracting and construction environments involved with public utilities projects with a civil, roads and/or water industry emphasis.
  • Experience in construction supervision, inspection and monitoring, record keeping and quality management document control.

  • Base annual salary of $ $82,690 - $90,623 (dependent on experience and qualifications of the successful applicants) plus allowances as applicable
