Coffee on Oaka is a boutique coffee shop proudly serving Gladstone with the finest blend of beans. We are open daily from 6am to 2pm, offering a delightful range of breakfast, lunch, and snack options in a warm, welcoming environment. Enjoy some of the best views of Gladstone Harbour while you work with us!

The Opportunity:

We are excited to expand our small but friendly team and are looking for one or two dedicated cooks. This role is ideal for individuals who are reliable, take pride in their work, and are committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s menu and standards
  • Follow and adhere to the restaurant’s policies, procedures, and values
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with other team members
  • Manage time and organisational skills to ensure fast and efficient service
  • Remain calm under pressure, particularly during busy service periods and in conflict resolution
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to maintain appropriate inventory
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen

Requirements:

  • Food Handling Certificate (required)
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Available for early mornings and weekends
  • Physically and mentally job-fit
  • Strong commitment to cleanliness and high standards
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
