Carinity Education - Gladstone is currently looking for a cook to join the team. As a Cook, you are an integral member of the team, your expertise and dedication will contribute to the provision of high-quality fresh meals to school students in a commercial kitchen environment.
In this role, you will manage the kitchen, including the preparation of meal plans, education of students in nutrition in support. The Cook works under the direction and guidance of the Student Management team in developing healthy eating programs for students and provides support to the students in recommendations of health initiatives and nutrition education.
This is a fixed term role, concluding 27th June 2025 with the possibility of extension.
What do I need for the role?
- Experience in commercial food preparation
- Tertiary Qualification in Hospitality Management or similar discipline preferred
- Demonstrated experience in development of nutrition programs, food preparation and/or kitchen management within a secondary school environment advantageous
- Demonstrated sensitivity to social issues which may affect young people
