About the opportunity:
At Shalom, you’ll enjoy a prime location in North Rockhampton on the edge of a picturesque lagoon, a tranquil setting that inspires connection and care. In this position you will be assisting in the provision of high-quality fresh meals to the residents of the facility, in support of maintaining their quality of life.

This role requires availability Wednesday to Sunday, with a combination of 6:00am – 2:06pm and 9:30am – 5:36pm shifts.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Assist the Chef and other staff in the preparation of high-quality, fresh meals that meet residents’ dietary requirements and personal preferences.
• Provide assistance to Support Services staff in meal service to residents
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and always adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

About you:

• Experience in commercial food preparation
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety standards relevant to Aged Care
• A compassionate, resident-focused approach
• Previous experience in Aged Care industry is desirable
