Sarina Golf Club is an 18 hole course located on the southern side of the Sarina Township in Central Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1934, Sarina Golf Club is a Hub for the local community and for Golfers across Queensland and Australia to enjoy a game of golf in the most picturesque country environment. We are a financially stable club with a growing membership and are looking to appoint a Course Superintendent/ Head Greenkeeper.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, a hands-on leadership approach, and a genuine commitment to excellence in turf management. This role suits someone who thrives in a collaborative, professional environment and is focused on delivering exceptional playing conditions and team culture.

The Club would also consider a qualified Greenskeepers looking to take the next step into a Course Superintendent role.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Committee of the Sarina Golf Club your responsibilities will include

· Be part of a team and work closely with the committee and volunteers, and other relevant departments to achieve overall course goals.

· Oversee the maintenance and care of all golf course turf, ensuring optimal playing conditions.

· Manage a team of groundskeepers and volunteers, providing guidance on daily tasks, schedules, and performance.

· Implement and execute a comprehensive maintenance plan, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.

· Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all groundskeeping equipment, coordinating repairs and replacements as needed.

· Plan and execute course improvement projects, such as tee box renovations and landscaping upgrades.

· Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in course maintenance, aligning with industry standards and regulations.

What We're Looking For:

· Organisational strength and a keen eye for detail.

· Certificate III in Turf Management or equivalent qualifications.

· Proven experience in golf course maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.

· Extensive knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, and pest control.

· Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

· In-depth knowledge of golf course machinery and preventative maintenance programs

· Budgeting and financial management experience.

· Familiarity with environmental best practices in golf course maintenance.

· Australian work rights are required for this position.
