About The Role
As the Customer Banking Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Sarina Branch. Your key focus will be on coaching, staff development, and training to ensure the branch meets the Bank’s customer service, sales, and strategic goals. You will lead by example, providing guidance and support to your team while fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support your team’s growth through effective coaching, training, and implementation of staff development plans that align with Branch and bank goals.
- Foster strong relationships with your customers by engaging in meaningful conversations to understand their needs and provide tailored banking solutions.
- Keep your team motivated and engaged, resolving conflicts when necessary and making tough decisions to ensure team cohesion and high performance.
- Manage and lead a proactive approach to quality outbound calls for onboarding new customers and retaining existing ones, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Contribute ideas and strategies for marketing initiatives alongside your Area Manager to enhance Auswide Bank’s profile and drive growth within the branch.
- Adhere to Bank policies, procedures, privacy guidelines, and relevant regulations. Complete all required compliance training and obligations in a timely manner.
- Regularly monitor and assess team performance, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements to ensure continual growth and success.
- Drive the achievement of sales targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicator’s), motivating your team to meet and exceed goals while ensuring a customer-centric approach.
- Take a hands-on approach in resolving complex customer issues or complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining Auswide Bank’s reputation for excellent service.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding Auswide Bank’s products and services, ensuring your team is well-equipped to provide accurate advice and recommendations to customers.
- Assist in the recruitment process and foster a positive work environment that attracts and retains top talent for the Branch.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
As well as having excellent & effective problem solving, time management and communication skills, you will also be required to display the following:
- Proven experience in a leadership role with a strong focus on interpersonal skills, guiding and motivating teams to achieve shared goals.
- A background in leading a service-driven team within the Financial Services sector, with a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to drive business results.
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive, meaningful, and solution focused.
- The ability to model the professionalism required of a leader, setting high standards for yourself and your team while maintaining a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Experience in working within an environment where you have successfully achieved set KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and sales targets.
- A genuine passion for helping customers achieve their financial dreams and goals by providing relevant advice and solutions.
- Having a ‘growth mindset’ and being open to learning and engaging with key stakeholders across the business, actively seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Ability to multi-task and be highly adaptable to change and ambiguity
- Experience in being a user and promoter of technology - working knowledge in using different digital channels will be an advantage
