We’re on the lookout for a Customer Service Officer who’s not just good with people, but great. Someone who can juggle a queue, a ringing phone, and a tricky enquiry, all while keeping their cool and their smile. If you’ve got a knack for making people feel heard, helped, and happy, we want to hear from you.

This role is all about connection. You’ll be the friendly face (and voice) of our Council, helping a wide range of customers with everything from everyday questions to the occasional curveball. You’ll need to be resilient, resourceful, and ready to roll with whatever the day throws at you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Welcoming customers and helping them navigate their requests with sincerity and efficiency.
  • Handling cash and transactions with precision, you know your way around a till and a spreadsheet.
  • Keeping records tidy, mail moving, and systems balanced at the end of the day.
  • Working with a team that’s supportive, switched-on, and always up for a laugh (and a coffee).
  • Staying calm and professional when things get busy, because you’ve got this.
