About the Role

BCHS- The Rockhampton Children Family Centre are currently seeking a friendly and dedicated Data Administration Officer to join the team! The position is to be filled on a part-time permanent basis for 25 hours per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to start their career in administration within a friendly and supportive team environment.

About You

  • You a compassionate, optimistic individual wanting to make a difference in peoples lives especially our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and also have the following:
  • The incumbent will possess a Cert 3 in Business Administration or have a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated administrative industry experience
  • Have a 'can do' positive approach to life and work and have previously worked in a community admin role
  • It is imperative that the incumbent has exceptional interpersonal skills with a willingness to assist and support others in a team environment.
  • Sound organisational skills and computer skills are also required, with high attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver timely outcomes under limited supervision and strong organisational skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating a high level of written communication skills with a proven ability to prepare/take meeting minutes.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high-level knowledge and experience using computers, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and an understanding of the concerns affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Practical Requirements

  • Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) – essential
  • Immunisation requirements – It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine-preventable diseases: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, and pertussis (whooping cough) during their employment
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children and young people) or willingness to apply for a Blue Card - essential
  • Satisfactory Police Check – essential
