Deputy Director of Nursing

Step into a senior clinical leadership role within a large residential aged care facility in south of Rockhampton. Working closely with the Director of Nursing, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading clinical teams, supporting governance, and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care across the facility.

The role
  • Support the Director of Nursing with clinical governance and operational leadership
  • Provide direct leadership to Clinical Nurses and indirect oversight of care staff
  • Drive compliance, quality standards, and best-practice clinical outcomes
  • Act as a key escalation point for clinical matters
 
About you
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Director of Nursing OR
  • An experienced Registered Nurse / Clinical Nurse ready to step into a senior leadership role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A passion for delivering high-quality aged care
 
Mandatory Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • NDIS Screening with no disclosable outcomes
  • Statutory Declaration regarding criminal history and suitability for employment
  • No impediment to employment (e.g., bankruptcy, legal restrictions)
  • All vaccinations mandated by the Health Department for the aged care sector
