Council is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Fitter to join our dynamic team. As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of Council's fleet of vehicles and machinery. About this opportunity:
The Diesel Fitter position is tasked with ensuring the maintenance of the Council's plant and equipment fleet to a high standard, offering expert mechanical services to both internal and external clients. This role involves effectively repairing, maintaining, and servicing the Council's plant and equipment, completing all necessary documentation, and providing trade guidance and assistance as part of a work team.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
- Current QLD 'C' Class drivers' licence
- General Construction Safety 'White' card
- Mechanical experience must include engines, transmissions, hydraulics, automotive air-conditioning and auto electrical.
- Experience in the maintenance of diesel-powered vehicles, plant and equipment will be beneficial.
- QLD 'HR' Class driver's licence will be highly regarded
