About the role

Broucek Heavy Diesel is seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team in Bowen, Queensland. As a casual Diesel Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the heavy machinery and equipment that are vital to our mining and resources Customers.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot and identify issues, and implement effective solutions
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of all repair and maintenance work
• Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by following all health and safety protocols
• Diverse work

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Diesel Fitting, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics , Mechanical Fitting
• Demonstrated experience in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of diesel engines and heavy equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to risk management
• Standard 11
• CBM
• Valid C manual drivers licence 
• Physically fit to pass pre employment medical, drug and alcohol screen
