Role Overview:
As a Heavy Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic, you’ll support mining operations by maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy mobile equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to experienced tradespeople who value reliability, safety, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and inspections
- Diagnose and repair faults on heavy mobile plant
- Complete component change-outs and major rebuilds
- Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime
- Work independently and within a team environment
- Maintain compliance with site safety systems and procedures
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification: Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic
- Proven post-trade experience in mining or heavy industry
- Experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment
- Current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
- Current QLD Driver Licence
- Strong safety focus and commitment to quality workmanship
