Diesel Fitter – Shutdowns

📍 Central Queensland

Mader Group is expanding! With 500+ sites worldwide, we’re seeking experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitters to join our Central QLD team across the Bowen Basin.

What’s on Offer?

  • Competitive pay: $70–$80/hr + 12% super on all hours (this is dependent on experience)

  • Diverse breakdown and shutdown work across leading OEMs (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, etc.

  • Chartered flights supplied for certain sites (pending suitability).
    Flights for longer swings can be negotiated.

  • Locals encouraged to apply

  • Rosters Available*

    • 2/1, 3/1 or longer swings only

What We’re Looking For:

We’re after trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters (HDDM) with:

  • Strong mining shutdown & breakdown experience

  • OEM or reputable mining contractor background (highly regarded)

  • Mining experience preferred (OEM Quarry & Civil backgrounds considered)

  • Solid field service capability

  • Strong initiative & problem-solving skills

  • Safety-first mindset

What You’ll Need?

  • Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent) – RPL options are available for eligible candidates

  • Strong field service and mining breakdown experience

  • OEM experience essential

  • Current C Class licence

  • Strong initiative, problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset

  • Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
