About the role:

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic who enjoys working Independently. We're looking for a reliable, hands on professional to join our team in Mackay, QLD.

This is an independent role, perfect for someone who thrives working autonomously, has strong problem solving skills, and can confidently deal with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly.

This role has a $5000 sign on bonus. Company vehicle and phone. Flexibility to choose your hours, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and an opportunity to gain a forklift ticket or upgrade your license to HR funded by K&S after your probation period.

Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicles and equipment
• Working independently - you'll be the go to person on-site
• Managing relationships with external suppliers for parts and services
• Maintaining equipment and vehicles to company and manufacturer standard

Success profile

• Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Experience working independently or in remote/autonomous environments highly desirable
• Fuel tanker maintenance experience advantageous
• Basic computer skills advantageous
• Forklift licence highly desirable
• HR License highly desirable
• Excellent communication
• Ability to manage time and workload effectively
