Job Description:
Empowering Life Connections is seeking a dedicated and upbeat Disability Support Worker who currently holds a Certificate III in Individual Support. We value someone with a healthcare background who can bring a great sense of humour and a warm, caring approach to supporting high-needs clients. You'll need to be comfortable with personal care and have the patience and flexibility to handle a variety of needs, as well as assist the participant with daily living tasks, community engagement and parental support.
Requirements:
· Currently have Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
· Experience with high-needs clients and a willingness to provide personal care is essential.
· Certificate IV in Mental Health is preferred.
· Valid Blue and Yellow Card.
· Driver’s license.
· First Aid & CPR
· NDIS Worker Orientation Module
· NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
· Australian Drivers Licence with Comprehensive Insurance with Own Vehicle.
· Experience with manual handling and hoist transfers required
