Disability Support Worker

Job Description

About the Opportunity

Are you looking for more than just a paycheck? At All Types of Care Queensland, we believe that support work is about building relationships, not just filling shifts.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our Rockhampton team. Whether you are an industry veteran or looking to start a meaningful new career, we provide a supportive environment where your work is valued and your professional growth is a priority.

Why Join the "All Types of Care" Team?

  • Flexibility that Works for You: With shifts ranging from 2 to 10 hours, including days, afternoons, and sleepovers, we can help you find a work-life balance that fits your lifestyle.

  • A Local, Supportive Culture: Join a team that actually listens. We provide extensive supervision, professional development, and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to ensure you’re always at your best.

  • Consistent Hours: We offer planned, rostered work with potential weekly hours between 15 and 38 hours.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are the same! You will be empowering our clients in Rockhampton by:

  • Providing compassionate In-Home Support to help clients maintain their independence.

  • Assisting with Sleepover shifts to ensure our clients feel safe and supported 24/7.

About You

We hire for attitude and heart first. You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You’re Resilient & Patient: You remain calm under pressure and are willing to support clients who may demonstrate challenging behaviours (with full team support and training).

  • You’re a People Person: You have excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.

  • You’re Adaptable: You can think on your feet and handle schedule changes with a "can-do" spirit.

  • You’re a Team Player: you enjoy collaborating with a driven, local team to provide high-quality care.
