A highly respected, not-for-profit organisation in Gladstone that is dedicated to supporting, educating and providing health support to it’s clients.

The staff and management are committed to providing a safe, judgement-free environment.  They provide support services, health information and education programs.  The team is dedicated to the community with the provision of counselling, support groups and more. 

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen to employ a passionate, enthusiastic practitioner to engage with clients, provide high quality, timely crisis responses, complete comprehensive, therapeutic intake assessments relating to domestic, family, and sexual violence. You will be completing risk assessments, safety planning and home safety and security assessments.

About You

  • Hold Diploma in Community Services, Degree in Psychology, Social Work or similar qualifications
  • Working with Children (Blue Card)
  • Ability to pass Police check
  • Knowledge and skills in domestic and family violence and sexual violence practices
  • Well-developed experience and skills in therapeutic support for individuals who have experienced domestic, family or sexual violence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and foster harmonious relationships
  • Knowledge and skills to ensure the provision of trauma informed services to clients
  • Ability to deliver services in accordance with policies, principles and other operational documents
  • Ability to provide court support, case coordination and management to provide the necessary support and resources
